A prefect first day warm up of a gently undulating walk from the Brevent mid station of Plan Praz to Flegere along the spectacular Grand Balcon Sud over looking the Mont Blanc and her chain of peaks. This is a well established trail and undulates gently through the alpine scenery at 2000m altitude. The spring flowers will be in full bloom and the marmottes appearing from their winter hibernation. This is a glorious walk accessed by the Brevent gondola at the start and you can finish by taking the cable car at La Flegere back down into the valley. 2. Swiss odyssey. Transfer to Col du Forcalz in Switzerland. Walk up to Mont Arpille to Bovine, 450m of ascent to a sheperd’s farm house nestled in the flower meadows. Lunch can be taken here at the buvette where traditional soup, cheese, bread and wine are served. Your guides will explain all about the local farming traditions, food, flora and fauna on the way. 3. Aiguillette Les Houches. Starting in the high alpine hamlet of Le Flattiere above Les Houches you will walk up to the chalets de Chaillanx and onto the ridge of the Aiguillette Les Houches where you can enjoy the stunning views down to the Sallanches Valley, across to the dramatic peaks of the Aravis range of mountains as well as having the backdrop of Mont Blanc to enjoy. There are 2 possible options here of walking along to the top of Brevent at 2550m or turning down to the Parc de Merlet to see the Chamois, Bouquetins and Marmottes in the nature reserve before walking back to the chalet. 4. Magic of Le Tour. A short drive this morning will take you to the head of the Chamonix Valley to the quiet hamlet of Le Tour.
