On the ascent

Over the years we have had many guests climb Mont Blanc on skis and on foot some have even paraglided from the summit.

At Alpine Ascent we will do our utmost to give you a unique experience using our hand picked mountain guides and 20 years of experience in the Chamonix and Mont Blanc area.  Our 6 Day programme is designed to give you the required skills to get you to the summit of Mont Blanc acclimatised and in good spirits.
Your safety comes first and our guides have an excellent safety record and are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the business.

The route is designed to give you a unique experience away from the crowds and on routes that will give you the confidence and skill to take on Mont Blanc by the end of the programme.  The route to the summit is Yves Detry’s unique route which offers you the best possible chance to reach the summit and enjoy the entire experience.

Your fitness is important and any fit hill walker will be able to take on the challenge.

This programme is feasible assuming the mountain and weather conditions are good. It is important to have a good level of fitness before you start as it makes it easier to recover quickly, but the programme is about acclimatisation, and learning the required skills.
Our guides will find the best options and the programme may vary.

In case of bad weather on the French side of the massif we have the option of going to the Italian side where frequently it is better on the other side.  We would consider a number of options to ensure you get the most out of your time.  For example:

Through the Mont Blanc Tunnel by car onto the Rifugio Vittorio Emmanuele 11 in Italy. 8kms walk + 760m vertical, stay the night in the refuge.

Day 2
Becca di Monicar 3545m, 8kms and +900m vertical. Stay the night in the Refuge Vittorio Emmanuele

Day 3
